ERP CR: Unit4 has compromised to deliver continuous updates in the cloud and has renamed its Unit4 ERP Milestone 7 to Unit4 CR. This way, you can always have the latest functionalities and security enhancements without manual upgrades, minimising disruption. Unit4’s multi-tenant infrastructure provides a secure foundation for these updates, keeping your system current and protected.

ERPx: Its flexible architecture allows for a smooth transition to the cloud and future scalability. Your system can effortlessly adapt to changing requirements without complex reconfigurations, ensuring a seamless migration and future-proofing your ERP investment.

Customisations: refer to modifications made to the standard Unit4 ERP system, to adapt it to specific business requirements. These changes can range from small adjustments to user interfaces to more complex calculations or changes in workflows. Most existing ERP7 customisations will move to the cloud, although the method used to create them may not be the best method for future customisations. Some customisations may need a deeper review and others may need to be reworked.

Integrations: connect your Unit4 ERP solution with other software applications to help you streamline your processes and get a better data flow. You can integrate your Cloud solution with CRMs, HR or financial systems to get a more unified business platform. You may have different types of integration to your on-premises ERP7 environment. Most of these: API, web service, file based, will move into the cloud. Be on the lookout for ‘direct to database integrations’.

Direct to database integrations: With this method, any updates to ERP data are written directly to the ERP database. This is not a valid practice in modern cloud. An alternative method will need to be found. This may be a short-term just ‘get into the cloud’ and then take time work on this, or fully built before migration.
